Frequently Asked Questions

Do CCA products require RoHS testing?

While CCA materials are inherently RoHS-compliant, testing is recommended for: customer requirements, certification needs, and verifying auxiliary materials (lubricants, coatings). A declaration of conformity with supporting material certificates is typically sufficient for compliance demonstration.

What is the difference between EU RoHS and China RoHS?

EU RoHS restricts ten substances and requires CE marking with declaration of conformity. China RoHS (GB/T 26572) has similar substance restrictions but requires environmental protection use period marking and disclosure of hazardous substances content. Both regulations apply to electrical and electronic products.

How often should I check the REACH SVHC list?

The SVHC list is updated every six months (January and June). Manufacturers should subscribe to ECHA notifications and review the list after each update to ensure continued compliance. Currently there are 240+ substances on the list.
