Material options include NCC strip and foil, copper strip and foil, and nickel connection materials. Material and coating choices depend on the cell chemistry, weld design and required electrical properties.

Evaluate the welding process window, joint strength, contact resistance, surface condition and exposure to electrolyte or other corrosive media. Required tests and acceptance limits must be set for the actual joint and assembly.

Include the cell type, pack process, drawing, dimensions, surface and edge requirements, welding method, acceptance criteria, traceability requirements, sample quantity and expected demand.
