Copper Clad Aluminum High-Performance Composite
60% lighter, 40% cost savings. Advanced Clad & Weld technology for perfect metallurgical bonding.
RAYTRON is a global leading manufacturer of Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) wire, manufactured to strict ASTM B566 standards. Our CCA bimetallic conductors deliver 62% to 70% of the conductivity of pure copper while reducing overall weight by up to 60% and lowering material costs by approximately 40%. Engineered with a permanent metallurgical bond, RAYTRON CCA wire is the optimal lightweight, cost-saving solution for EV automotive wiring, high-frequency RF coaxial cables, and industrial motor windings.
Manufacturing Process
This product is manufactured using Clad & Weld process with metallurgical bonding. It is NOT electroplated.
Metallurgical bonding creates a permanent atomic-level connection, ensuring superior reliability compared to electroplating. This enables excellent weldability, resistance to peeling during bending, and stable performance under thermal cycling conditions.

⚠️ Electrochemical Compatibility Notice
Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) may experience galvanic corrosion in humid or salt spray environments when in direct contact with dissimilar metals (such as copper or steel). To ensure product lifespan, please note the following:
- • Avoid direct contact between CCA and pure copper or steel; use insulating spacers or coatings for isolation
- • In outdoor or high-humidity environments, tin-plated or silver-plated post-processing options are recommended
- • For grounding applications, please select Copper Clad Steel (CCS) for better corrosion resistance
