Copper strip is used for terminals, stamped connectors and contacts; copper foil provides thin conductive layers for shielding applications. CCA, CCS and NCC require an application-specific reason for their layer structure and surface material.
Define thickness, width, temper, edge condition, surface finish and any plating or cladding requirement. Evaluate forming, joining, contact resistance and relevant component reliability tests. High-frequency performance also depends on the complete conductor and connector design.
Send the component function and drawing, material and temper, surface and edge requirements, joining or solderability criteria, inspection requirements, packaging and volume.
