Frequently Asked Questions

Is CCA allowed in US building wiring?

Under NEC 2023, CCA is restricted for branch circuits ≤12 AWG. For larger sizes, acceptance varies by local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Always verify local code requirements before installation.

Can CCA be used with standard terminals?

Most standard terminals marked 'Cu only' are not rated for CCA. Terminals marked 'Cu/Al' are designed for aluminum, not CCA. Special CCA-rated terminals are required for proper connections.
