What is RAYTRON at Wire Düsseldorf 2025:?
Recapping RAYTRON's successful exhibition at Wire Düsseldorf 2025 — showcasing cutting-edge bimetallic solutions and connecting with global industry leaders.
From April 13–17, 2025, RAYTRON proudly exhibited at Wire Düsseldorf — the world's premier trade fair for the wire and cable industry. Held at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition center in Germany, this biennial event brought together over 1,300 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors from across the globe, and RAYTRON was thrilled to be at the heart of it all.
Showcasing Innovation at the Heart of Europe
At our booth, RAYTRON presented its full portfolio of high-performance bimetallic conductor solutions, drawing significant attention from industry professionals, engineers, and procurement leaders. Our featured exhibits included:
- Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA) Wire & Strip — Our flagship product line, engineered for weight-sensitive applications in EVs, solar PV, and consumer electronics, with conductivity up to 62–70% IACS and up to 60% weight reduction versus pure copper.
- Copper-Clad Steel (CCS) Wire — High-strength, corrosion-resistant conductors for coaxial cables, telecommunications, and railway electrification, combining steel's tensile strength with copper's superior surface conductivity.
- Nickel-Clad Copper (NCC) Wire — Purpose-built for extreme environments including battery tabs, aerospace, and chemical processing, delivering outstanding oxidation and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures.
- PV Ribbon for Solar Interconnects — Precision-rolled CCA ribbon optimized for photovoltaic cell interconnection, helping solar manufacturers reduce material costs while maintaining reliable electrical performance.
Engaging with Global Partners
Wire Düsseldorf 2025 provided an exceptional platform for RAYTRON to deepen existing relationships and forge new partnerships. Over the five-day event, our team conducted hundreds of technical consultations with visitors from more than 30 countries, including Germany, Italy, Turkey, India, South Korea, Japan, Brazil, and the United States.
Key themes that resonated with visitors included:
- The accelerating shift toward lightweight conductors in automotive and e-mobility applications
- Growing demand for cost-effective alternatives to pure copper without compromising performance
- Increasing requirements for ultra-thin bimetallic foils in next-generation electronics
- Sustainability and resource efficiency driving material substitution strategies
Technical Demonstrations Draw Crowds
One of the highlights of our exhibition was the live demonstration of our bimetallic cross-section samples. Visitors were able to examine the metallurgical bond quality under magnification, witnessing first-hand the precision of RAYTRON's Clad & Weld process — where copper and aluminum achieve a seamless atomic-level bond with interface shear strength exceeding 100 MPa.
Our precision-rolled CCA foil, with a minimum thickness of just 0.035 mm, also attracted considerable interest from electronics manufacturers seeking ultra-thin conductor solutions for flexible circuits and miniaturized components.
