PV Ribbon Lead Times: From Specification Review to Production
Plan each stage of your PV ribbon order: specification review, quotation, sample production, qualification, production and delivery. Confirm the start point, required approvals and target dates with your supplier, and allow time for testing and transport.

Complete the technical definition
- Provide drawing revision, construction, coating, tolerances, condition, cell interface and acceptance methods. Record open engineering decisions and the person responsible for each.
- Material preparation, forming, coating and equipment setup determine the sample production route.
Plan the sample milestone
- Agree sample quantity, setup needs, documents, packaging and shipping arrangements. Establish how the sample is identified and which checks it must pass.
- Record the sample-completion date and dispatch date separately, with the required approvals and material availability.
Allow for qualification
- Define joining trials, inspections and any module tests before the schedule is set. Record who reviews results and approves the production specification or alternative.
- Account for failed tests, revisions and repeat trials explicitly. A material sample being shipped does not mean the assembly or module is qualified.
Confirm the production commitment
- Agree quantity, specification revision, inspection documents, packaging, delivery responsibility and schedule in the order. Distinguish manufacturing completion from arrival at the destination.
- Track material availability, production slot, inspection release and transport milestones. Track changes through the agreed order process.
