What is the difference between tabbing and bus ribbon?
Tabbing ribbon connects individual cells in series, typically 1.0-2.0mm wide. Bus ribbon collects current from cell strings, typically 4-6mm wide. Both require high conductivity and solderability.
How do I select ribbon for thin wafers (≤130μm)?
For thin wafers, use ultra-soft ribbon with yield strength ≤80 MPa and higher elongation ≥25%. This reduces stress on the wafer during thermal cycling.
