Specify the order unit
- State whether the request is by mass, length, spool or finished pieces. Include base construction, dimensions, coating and packaging so quantities can be compared consistently.
- Distinguish sample needs, qualification quantities and recurring production demand. Conversion between length and mass requires the actual section and material construction.
Identify setup and material constraints
- Ask whether the requested combination requires a dedicated material lot, forming setup, coating run or special packaging. Review the setup and changeover basis for the quotation.
- Discuss which size or coating combinations can share a planned production run. Do not assume different specifications can be pooled without technical and quality review.
Discuss order patterns
- Provide forecast, order frequency and call-off expectations. Ask whether a staged delivery or other arrangement is feasible for the specification.
- Clarify inventory ownership, payment, storage and delivery responsibility when considering combined orders. Record the agreed quantity and inventory obligations for each delivery.
Confirm the commercial record
- Record the quoted construction, quantity, unit, price basis, lead-time dependencies and validity. Ask separately about sample charges and shipping.
- An agreed MOQ belongs to the quotation or order. Confirm its unit, validity and any call-off or storage conditions.
